What I know about the car:

This Mustang was built 11/28/1966 in Metuchen, NJ. It was kept by Ford for 9 Months, most likely as a Show Vehicle or Executive car. It was ordered as an Export Vehicle, but was eventually sold by Wansley Motor Co. Carnesville, GA. It is believed the car spent it's life as a "Southern Car", evident by the extra clean undercarriage and lack of rust under the car. No undercoating to hide anything, and the original "Red-Oxide Primer" and primer "drippings" are clearly visible. The vehicle was repainted the original factory color at some point. It is a nice high gloss finish, has some runs and blemishes, clearly not "Concours quality". The driveline is original to the car, including the motor, transmission, shifter, and rear end. The engine bay and interior are recently detailed and look great! The car drives like a 289 GT should, solid and responsive, with power disc brakes, and power steering. The car shows 88K miles, but this can not be confirmed so is listed in it's paperwork as Exempt, or exceeds mechanical limits.   Consideration was given to restoring/detailing the underside of the car, but given the unusual high quality of the original floors, and the full undercarriage, it was felt leaving it as is would be best as a tribute to the true integrity of this nearly 50 year old vehicle.

I have an adaptor behind the dash that lets me plug my iPhone or iPod into it and play it through the AM Radio! This allows me to keep the car original, but listen to my playlist of some nice 60's cruising music.
